Practicum for my Central Sterile Processing course is over and done with. I am now waiting for my final grade for my practicum. I was done around 9pm on March 30. I NEVER want to have to set foot in the main CP department of THAT hospital ever again. I truly loved working in the OR and up in Day Procedures. I actually got to watch one of the doctors perform a colonoscopy on a patient. It was neat to watch. The patient had a polyp that was successfully removed, it looked MUCH larger on the screen than it really was.
Shawn and I headed up to Grande Prairie for a week (April 3 - April 10) to spend my birthday, dad's birthday, and Easter with my dad. I actually had a surprise cooked up for him and had preordered some custom cupcakes for his birthday. I'll probably post pics later as I'm in a bit of a rush right now (chugging down a protein shake and then headed to the gym for a LONG OVERDUE workout!). We spent one night at my sister's and got to watch the Spruce Grove Saints play the FINAL game of the entire season. They unfortunately lost to the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. The game was a bit of a joke. The refs refused to call penalties against the Oil Barons and even allowed them to win by allowing them an offside goal. GRRRRRRR!
So yeah.... that's all that's new for now. Gonna go finish chuggin and off to sweating I go. lol
