Ok... so it's been a while since I've posted in my blog last. What's new??? Well, Shawn and I have settled in nicely to Edmonton, our new home, and our respective jobs. I can't say that I overly like mine. It's not that I don't like the work, it's just that I don't like the location. It's too close to the bad part of town, but as a friend of mine pointed out, it's probably not as bad as I think. I've been at my job for over a year now and have gotten a raise. YAY!!!!! Shawn's working as a line cook at one of our favorite restaurants in the city. He works at Soda Jerks, and the restaurant will be featured on You've Gotta Eat Here on the Food Network sometime in February 2014.
We went up to Grande Prairie to visit my dad for the August long weekend. We had a great time. We went up to Peace River, saw the Twelve Foot Davis monument in the park, went across the Peace River on the Shaftesbury ferry, and outran a massive thunderstorm. Saw my uncle when he came in for dinner on Sunday. We had salmon and fresh veggies from my dad's garden. We returned home on Monday.
Not much else has happened since....... I am going to try to keep this blog somewhat more updated than I have been.
