Well, today, hubby and I went out, and I asked if we could go to the beauty supply store on the southside of town by Walmart. Said that I needed new shampoo cause I had used the last of the stuff I had at home this morning, and off we went. We walked in and the first thing that caught my eye were all the nail LACQUERS!!!!!!! Holy dyna! What colors they had. Prices were incredibly awesome as well. I ended up getting two colors.... Celtic Sun (Neon) and Punki Purple. Shawn found me some "callous terminator" and I'm going to give that a try. I will do ANYTHING to get rid of these narsty callouses on my feet, aside from having them cut off at a dr's office. EEK!!! Looked at the hair color, and now after reading the blurby on their website, I think I could handle doing my hair at home by myself. hehehe I also got some tanning lotion to use in the tanning bed at the gym and man-oh-man does it ever smell GOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!! And if that wasn't enough, I also became a member of their club so I'll get discounts when I buy stuff. YAY!!!! Only $5 for a 1-year membership, why not????? Oh yeah, name of the store.... SALLY BEAUTY SUPPLY!!!! Strange how when I lived in Oregon I never went into the store. hehehe
After we were done at the supply store, we went off to Firestone so that Shawn could pick up his tips from work. It's stupid Street Wheelers weekend here and apparently Coast Hotels and Resorts here have hired some security company to stop cars and find out what their business being in the parking lot is. Guess they don't want all the gawkers to take away parking from either hotel or restaurant customers. They stopped us when we went in for the tips, but no one was there when I took Shawn back to work. They were there, however, as I was leaving. I think this Street Wheelers thing is the MOST stupidest thing ever. Ranks right up there with Exhibition Park having that stupid Childrens' Festival. *groans and rolls eyes*
I think we headed over to Walmart after that. Picked up some stuff..... quilting batting that I needed to finish my table runner, new bobbins for the sewing machine, 4 more boxes of Crystal Light, Shawn got Highlander on blu-ray, and we got some VERY nice looking steaks.... 3 in a package for $8. Good deal if you ask me.
Went to MoJo's Pub & Grill for a lateish lunch. I was craving poutine, so we got one of those made with waffle fries. I also ordered the Angry German Sandwich AND a Mike's Hard Lime Margarita. I think I've found my NEW fave drink. I'm going to have to go out and buy some for here at home. teeheehee I only ate a few of the fries, and managed to eat HALF of my sandwich, the other half of the sandwich and the salad that came with it are in the fridge.... will probably have it for lunch or dinner tomorrow.
Shawn and I have planned on going to the Farmers Market tomorrow, but we'll see what time it is when we finally go to sleep tonight. For me, it was after 3. Oopsie. I was up at 9:30 though. UGH! Thank gawd for our Keurig. lol
Uber windy out today too. Makes things ucky. I'm not going to complain about the coolness today though. It's a much needed change from the sweltering heat.
Yeah, I think that's it for now. Laters!
